About the Department

The J. Dietl Hospital, famous in the medical market for treatment of disorders of musculoskeletal system, expanded its medical activity to the possibility of surgical treatment of these disorders. With a view of patients requiring surgical intervention, on 2nd April 2013 the modern Department of Orthopedics and Spinal Surgery was launched in order to complete the therapeutic offer of the Hospital. Thereby, it became the institution that provides comprehensive treatment of patients with disorders of musculoskeletal system, both conservative and surgical within one hospital, with the possibility of their full enhancement as a part of the Department of Rehabilitation. Thanks to employing a specialized medical team of physicians with specializations in both orthopedics and neurosurgery, we provide a full range of surgical procedures. We are specialized in the field of spinal surgery, orthopedic rheumatology and arthroscopic procedures of the joints. We use a variety of operations: arthroplasty of large and small joints as well as minimally invasive endoscopic surgical methods. Each choice of treatment method is done on the basis of individual medical indications, after careful assessment of patient’s health, with the participation of physicians from the departments of rheumatology, neurology and medical rehabilitation. Such cooperation ensures performing surgery in the most optimal stage of the disease, while the possibility of early post-surgical rehabilitation allows full recovery. Modern equipment of the unit, inter alia surgical microscopes, enables and ensures the highest standards of treatment.

The Department currently has two modern operating rooms, fully integrated with the teleradiology system of the Hospital, as well as 27 beds: in comfortable rooms, including five beds of increased surveillance for patients in the postoperative period, fully monitored and centrally located.

  • Highly specialized center in the field of treatment of patients with complex diseases of the spine.
  • The Department conducts diagnostics and treatment (conservative, surgical) of pathologies of the spine.
  • The Department is a center specialized in treatment of patients with congenital and acquired defects of the spine.
  • The center closely cooperates with the Clinic of Neurosurgery of the Military Institute of Medicine in Warsaw in the treatment of patients as well as in specialized training of the doctors in the field of neurosurgery.
