About the Department


INFORMATION ON CURRENT ACTIVITIES

The Department provides patients with a comprehensive range of rehabilitation treatments in the field of physiotherapy, physical therapy, local cryotherapy and therapeutic massage. It also provides the services for adult patients whose clinical health status does not allow for rehabilitation in the outpatient conditions and the patient does not require 24h medical supervision. The Department features a lounge area equipped with 12 unfolded chairs. The average length of stay is 15 days of treatment without Saturdays and Sundays.

FEATURES SPECIFIC FOR THE UNIT

Patients taking advantage of rehabilitation during their stay have access to the advice by the medical rehabilitation physician. The qualified staff of the Department provides a high level of medical rehabilitation, providing the procedures in the field of:

PHYSICAL THERAPY

  • Electrotherapy: galvanization, ionophoresis, diadynamic currents, interferential currents, Trabert currents;

  • Kotz currents, Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), tonolysis;

  • Phototherapy: irradiation with IR rays (Sollux);
  • Magnetic field;

  • Ultrasounds, concomitant therapy (Ultra Sounds + current);
  • Laser therapy: punctual and scanner laser;
  • Hydrotherapy: whirlpool massage of the limbs;
  • Local cryotherapy (nitrogen) and systemic cryotherapy (cryogenic chamber).

KINESITHERAPY

  • Exercise: passive, passive-assistive, exercises redressing muscle imbalance, assisted exercises, non-weight bearing exercises, active slow exercises, isometric exercises, active resistance exercises, general rehabilitation exercises, exercise teaching locomotion activities;
  • Kinesitherapy by special methods: Prorioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), McKenzie method, Mulligan method, joints mobilizations.
  • Medical taping (elastic therapeutic tape);
  • Tractions.

MASSAGE

  • Classic: partial and complete;
  • Manual lymphatic (lymphatic drainage)

What we treat


Treatment includes systemic rehabilitation of musculoskeletal system, the dysfunctions of which result from:

  • The course of inflammatory diseases: rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), ankylosing spondylitis (AS);
  • The course of disease and degenerative changes of the spine and peripheral joints;
  • Orthopedic injuries (fractures, dislocations, sprains);
  • Pain syndromes (arthroplasty surgery of peripheral joints, after surgeries of the spine);
  • Neurological diseases;

  • Strains of the musculoskeletal system.

For Patients


Rehabilitation is carried out in the following hours:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Monday and Thursday from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Required referral to the Hospital, to the Daily Rehabilitation Center (referral from Specialist Clinics or Primary Care Center in a situation of exacerbation of musculoskeletal system pains).

The qualification for the procedures takes place two weeks before the designated date of rehabilitation, of which the patient is notified by telephone.

For physiotherapeutic procedures patient should bring shoes for change, dress for exercising, socks, towel.
