The Department of Laboratory Diagnostics is equipped with up-to-date, high quality appliance used for ca. 420 000 medical examinations per year. These are carried out in the laboratories of: hematology, serology, immunology, coagulation, blood gas, immunochemistry, clinical biochemistry, general chemistry.
Members of the medical staff actively participate in research programs and scientific works. In the future the spectrum of laboratory services is expected to broaden according to the diagnostic needs of the hospital.
The laboratory performs medical examinations for the patients of particular departments, for the Central Admission Hall, the Hospital Outpatient Clinic, the Medical Health Officer, the Rheumatology Clinic at ul. Batorego, the Rheumatology Clinic at al. Focha and for the patients covered by drug prescription programs.
The Department of Laboratory Diagnostics also performs paid examinations for units and employing establishments within appropriate agreements with the Hospital, as well as for private persons. Blood tests are done on an empty stomach.
In case of taking medications one should seek information on the procedure preceding the test, since it could cause the falsification of the test results.
With referral (free of charge): at blood collection facility (Hospital Outpatient Clinic) at al. Focha 33/4 from Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 8.30 a.m.
Full-pay tests: at blood collection facility (Hospital Outpatient Clinic) at al. Focha 33 from Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. or at blood collection facility at ul. Skarbowa 1 from Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Test results can be collected in the laboratory, every day from 8:00 a.m. – 8.00 p.m.
